You'll Need:
This is really an easy flower to make. And it's pretty.
You can use it as a decorative addition to fx. headdresses, wristbands, bags, etc.
Here's a picture of my chosen fabric. I've used party satin, but anything can be used.
Now I've folded the fabric wrong side against wrong side, and sewn a stitch alongside the edges. I've rounded the sides, so I won't see any ragged fabric when I sew the flower together.
You'll want to overlock or zig-zag the edges too.
Now thread your needle with a long piece of thread, and knot it. Sew loosely on the edge as shown on the picture.
You should be able to wrinkle the fabric with your sewing. And you should do so. Not too much, but not too little either. If you wrinkle too much, you won't have enough fabric to get a pretty flower, and it you wrinkle too little, you'll just get a “fabric roll”.
Now, using the same thread, you start rolling the flower together, and sewing the edges together. The bottom should become a roll, while the top should become the prettiest fabric flower. :)
