How To Make Cute Lolita Bow 1 Black Dot

When you need a little something to decorate your hair and outfit with, and don't want it to be too elaborate, here's a cute little something you could use.

A bow can be used for many occations, and can be in many different colors and designs. This one is simple with a little decoration on in form of lace and ribbon. :)

Here you can see what fabric, lace and ribbon I've chosen.

Find the middle of your fabric 'length-wise', and draw a line that you can follow, while applying lace and ribbon. Do this on both pieces of fabric

Sew on the lace first. I had to sew two pieces of lace together as to get both sides of the ribbon alike.

Then sew on the ribbon on top of your lace in the middle.

Now take the big piece and fold it like on the picture, and sew about 2,5 cm at the edges of the short side, with a seam allowance of 1 cm.

Fold out the seam allowance and iron it a shown on the picture. Try to get it in the middle as well.

Now sew the long sides - again with a seam allowance of 1 cm - and cut the tips, so that you can get nice and sharp corners.

Through the gap in the middle, you turn the bow inside out, and the iron it.

Put the bow aside, and prepare your 'bowtie'. ;P

Fold it lengthwise and sew it into a tube. Be careful now to sew into the lace.

Now turn that inside out, and iron it too.

Now take your bow (the big piece), and fold it in the middle, so you get a nice bow form.

Tie some thread around it, to hold it in place.

Now put the 'bowtie' around it, and cut the excess fabric off, and sew it in hand.

Et Voilá, the bow is done.

I chose to put on a little hairclipper, so I could use it as hair decoration. :)
