Be My Goth
…going corporate?
NEVER!!!! :D
But there will be some changes around here.
I am at my work at the sewing school until the end of November, then I am going to go full time here at Be My Goth, and hopefully I can manage it. Therefore I have to admit that I am going to need your help – leading me in the right directions, and telling me what you think is cool, and uncool. (Is that a totally a 90′s word… ‘cool’) :)
Since I was fired, I have gone through many possible paths in my head, and my best bet is going full time on Be My Goth, because then I can delve into the creativity I have always wanted to live out!
I am going my own way! It means I will have to change my website layout a bit, so that it “sells” a bit more (I do have to be able to pay my rent in a couple of months by this website – what a challenge, eh!). But I promise you, with all my heart that I shall never grow corporate! I’ll never go totally business-like on you and sell sell sell – so please never stop writing me. ;) I enjoy your mails, comments and feedback! It keeps me sane – and then I don’t feel like I’m all alone in the universe.

Two rainbows
The last couple of weeks, I have been trying to figure out what to do, and how to do it, but I haven’t reached a conclusion yet. But I am determined to work on. Me next project is to finish the website layout, so I can get creative!
Perhaps I should ask you what you think so far…. So here’s my idea… I know there are some things that need to be changed, but now you get an idea of what it’ll look like.

I think that instead of calling the “premium tutorials (PDF’s) for “premium tutorials, I think I’ll call them patterns or designs, and in the menu make a tab called “Shop”. And then maybe display the designs in a portfolio kind of way. What do you think? Or should it stay like a blog layout? I think it might be easier to browse through them quickly when it’s a portfolio kind of display. Which means, that I need more than 4 designs to sell – so that’s what I am going to be busy with in December. I promise to do tons of free stuff and videos too! I’ll want you to come back again and again. (✿◠‿◠)
(and I am sooooo tired of having those same 4 slides displayed! I bet you are too – especially because I’ve learned a lot about photography since then….. >.<)
Anyway – Talking about videos – I now have an intro and an outro with music… wee! So you’ll see my little Be My Goth cat move around. ;)
I think there are a lot of things to look forward too in December. Especially for me, and hopefully for you too!
SO! In the future, when you see something you like here, please please please share! And help me reach more people – Invite your friends to like my facebook page and subscribe to my newsletter.
And then again – help me treading the right path, so to speak, by telling me if I’m doing too much boring stuff or telling me when I’m doing great. :) That would make me tons happy! Because you will be the ones to hold my hands in the coming months. (sorry for being sappy… I have to though! :P)

Hey! Good luck with your website!!! I think it looks great. The only thing is I was having a bit of trouble reading the blog post, I had trouble seeing the letters. I was thinking (and I really don’t know anything about this stuff) that maybe the printing could be bigger? <3

Ok, obviously I have no really helpful advice on web design, but I wanted to add that I think the greatest things come when you start out having no idea (or almost no idea) what you’re doing!

I haven’t been by this week, its been super nutty/busy. I’m loving your slide show! Everything looks great. I’m glad you enjoyed your meeting today. I’m going to try to make a cooler header soon. I’ve been sewing a lot but haven’t taken any photos..so no good posts lately. Do you have any ideas for photo backdrops? I need to do pajama shots indoors but I want it to look like a photo shoot- not like kids in my tiny living room. Ttys, muah!
